This is the RV1 Gooseneck Adapter with 5" of offset, great for when you have a short bed truck and need a little extra room between the camper and the truck. If you need a little more, we have the RV2 which has 9" off offset. This item is BLACK in color.

An RV Adapter from PopUp lets you tow your travel trailer with any standard 2 5/16" gooseneck hitch ball. Use it with a PopUp Ball or a Flip-Over Ball and you can pull your RV trailer and still have a completely smooth fully usable truck bed anytime you want it. To make your towing experience better yet, these RV Adapters are fitted with a PopUp GN8 self-latching coupler. This coupler latches when the trailer is lowered onto the ball. It also has a molded hitching guide to make coupling easier. To uncouple, you simply pull a release cable located near the trailer jack handle. The GN8 coupler has a "V-19" rating of 28,000 pounds.
The Adapter is held securely to the trailer king-pin box with a strong king-pin clamp. It also bolts to the king-pin box for additional stability. The installation fasteners provided are Grade 8. Installation takes about an hour.
The unit is built strong with a gross trailer weight of 24,000 pounds and a gross tongue weight of 6,000 pounds.
Adapters are furnished with a long lasting powder coated finish, and comes 100% complete.
When you uncouple, the Adapter stays with the trailer giving you full use of your truck bed for the other jobs you need to do.

Safe installation on unique OEM king pin boxes:
Verify the Quality of all existing welds in the king pin box assembly.
Under-Size King Pin Plate: A king pin plate that is not as large or larger than the top of the PopUp unit (10" x 10") requires welding for a safe installation. When it is not possible to bolt through the perimeter mounting holes, have a qualified welder apply a stitch-weld where the king pin plate and PopUp unit meet. (The most common undersized king pin plate is approximately 9" deep and 12" wide, allowing 3/8" bolts on the side perimeter holes but requiring a stitch-weld across the front and back perimeter.
Light Gauge King Pin Plate: A king pin plate less than 1/4" thick should not be drilled and tapped for installing the 3/8" perimeter mounting bolts. For these installations, use heavy washers with nuts on the top side of the king pin plate. If access to the king pin plate inside the king pin box is not possible, have a qualified welder apply a stitch-weld around the perimeter where the king pin plate and PopUp unit meet.
